Polygon Strife
Polygon Strife is our submission to the GMTK Game Jam of 2023, the theme was Roles Reversed.
Our game is about you being the game itself. The game has a built in auto playing "survivor-like" game that the "player" is playing, they are getting upgrades and improving all the time and is trying to capture all 4 towers to win the game.
You take on the role of being the conductor behind the curtains of the game, or you are the game, which ever you prefer. You are responsible of spawning mobs that will chase after the player but you may only do so outside of the player's view. But you have to make sure you are not making the game too easy or too difficult for the player by watching the difficulty meter that changes value based on how many mobs are attacking the player. If the player finds your game boring based on the difficulty meter, your machine will be unplugged and you will lose the game.
So give the player a nice time and make sure you kill the player in order to win the game! That's it.
